Week 1:

- Price center loft / communications center at UCSD.
Created timelines for the project.
- start on bonsai model#2.
- crashed twice already. 👍🏻

Week 2:
Bonsai art is something that is so intentional (for the most part) to replicate the randomness of nature (getting rid of symmetry, not straight, organic lines, etc) - 3D art is also meant to create a sense of reality in the 3D space very intensionally while replicating the randomness that occurs naturally in nature.
Particle system added - emits little balls (replicating the flowers / seeds / nuts / whatever that may grow on the tree over time.) moves.
Week3&4:
Week3: Completed rendering (1000 frames, almost all day for 7 days with my personal computer)
- went around the UCSD campus price center to check out possible exhibition locations
- The Loft was open to discuss; however, the lamp placement in front of the available wall made the projection not possible
- SCC, and other price center locations were welcoming but they all had other exhibitions which made it impossible to host my project.
Week4: focused mainly on finding the exhibition place. Visited the price center main office but no one seemed to know who to direct me to. Ended up emailing the manager of the price center, who directed me to the person in charge of the monitor / video projection in the food court.
- Emailed the person, waiting for response.

Week5: Midterm presentation
Finished the second model. Have not touched the first model. - planning to put the videos together to possibly play the video on loop.
- location: got in touch with the manager of price center. She directed me to the person who is in charge of the price center food court video projection.
- WIP: the person who is in charge of the monitor and I would need to discuss the length, file format, and other details of the work such as artist statement, etc for the completion of the project.
Moreover, the project exhibition location is still not finalized due to difficulty in getting in touch with the coordinators. Would like to finalize that as soon as possible.
However, the overall project is nearly complete, this new version is a little glitchy, but I almost enjoy the glitch - makes me think of a time-lapse video. Opinions?
To do:
- finalize the location
- finalize the file format and length
- write up the artist statement
